This is how your Direct Debit is calculated
Our Direct Debit process takes several factors into account when calculating the amount to be collected. This calculation is performed five days before the end of each month.
The amount collected is calculated to bring your domain balance up to the value specified in your Direct Debit form. This includes your monthly costs, plus an estimate of your call spend for the remainder of the month.
Worked example:
On 25th April, the account details are as follows:
Current domain balance: £100 Monthly costs: £20 Estimated remaining call spend for the month: £5
- Call spend so far this month: £25
- Average daily spend: £25 ÷ 25 days = £1
- Remaining days in the month: 5
- Estimated remaining spend: £1 × 5 = £5
The top-up value specified in your Direct Debit form: £200
Amount collected via Direct Debit: £200 − £100 + £20 + £5 = £125
As shown in the example, on 25th April we will notify you that £125 will be collected from your bank account. This collection will then be processed on the 1st of the following month.
